‘Blocking’ is that often overlooked final step that puts the finishing touch on your quilt that can take it from looking “fine” to truly professional. Bring your quilt to the realm of ‘square’ (as in plumb) and ‘flat’ (as in picture on the wall) by adding this process to your quilting skills. A must if you’re planning on entering a quilt in a show!

Sometimes the “little things” can make a big difference! This demonstration workshop covers fabric preparation, tools & equipment, rotary skill improvement, better sewing habits, pressing techniques, freezer paper, stress-reducing tips, border applications and finishing. Susie provides lots of information and does a number of specific demonstrations aimed at making quilting less stressful and fun by doing a few simple “little things” differently. Everyone needs to bring their rotary cutters, problem blocks, bad habits and questions.
