 Intro to Quilting: Sampler Quilt
If you have always wanted to learn quilt making, this Winter would be a great time to start! Come learn
the basic skills of making a quilt, including choosing fabric, rotary cutting, sewing an accurate seam,
pressing, borders, binding, and a lot more in this six week class. You will be making a sampler wall
hanging in class as you learn how to make six different quilt blocks. We’ll also show you other fun ideas
on how to use these simple blocks to make larger quilts.

 Beginning Machine Quilting
Learn the basics of machine quilting from Master Machine Quilter Linda Powell. Machine quilting is
the 'top stitching' done to hold the layers of the quilt together after the top is finished. Topics will include
proper basting, how to stitch in the ditch, and what needles, thread and batting work best. You'll learn a
variety of free-motion techniques that are easy and fun.

 Introduction to Paper Piecing
Has paper piecing been something you've wanted to try but just haven't gotten around to yet? Have you
tried it but just couldn't get the hang of it? In this beginning class you will learn the basics of paper piecing
starting with straight lines and working up to points and curves. You will have plenty of time to practice
your skills in this two session class and will go home with a sampler of techniques.
